What greater way to announce "so long" for your girlfriend's or sister's single ways than hosting a bachelorette bash. The event allows women to bond as friends and to celebrate the nuptials with a person they hold most dear to them - the bride to be. Traditionally the Maid or Matron of Honor plans this party for the bride and her closest friends The bachelorette soiree should be a "fun" occurrence even though many a Maid / Matron of Honor get stressed out unnecessarily in making sure the night goes well. If we can give any advice from the outset it is that the planning of a bachelorette party should be just about as much fun as the party itself. So lighten up and have a ball with all facets of it.
First and foremost, request that the bride to be provide you with a list of friends and guests she wants at the party. The list should incorporate all the women in the wedding party and any extra friends that the bride to be would like to be present. Protocol permits including those who are not even on the wedding invite list, but believe us when we say that this can be awkward terrain to navigate. It is not always possible to get everyone on the list to the bachelorette party. If they are close friends or relatives from out of town that will only be ‘in town’ just before the wedding, have another more quiet night with them just before the wedding if you are up to it. It is however ill advised to party up big so close to the wedding day itself. Up to 2 weeks out is completely acceptable for bigger nights.
The night does not have to be the stock standard drunken night at a girlfriends place with a male stripper showing up at some point when you are all well and truly sloshed. Sure, that can be fun to many of us, but the fact is, many a creative Maid / Matron of Honor will throw far better and far more thoughtful events everywhere, everyday. If you're feeling bewildered on what to arrange, here are some bachelorette party thoughts to get the ball rolling.
A bachelorette party can generally be a "crazy" time out or as basic as a night at the flicks and/or supper. Regardless, a very important factor to remember is that the party really should echo the general disposition of the bride i.e. is she the partying type or the more reserved type. If the bride would not like the club scene or will not consume alcohol, you undoubtedly wouldn't arrange to partake in bar hopping the whole night.
There are loads of scenarios intended for a wonderful bachelorette get together. A peaceful supper with a movie or possibly a dinner theatre is definitely pleasurable. A day at the spa indulging, or simply a good old style slumber party is straightforward to arrange and definitely enjoyable.
The most popular plan for any bachelorette party is a night out and about with the girls closest to the bride to be. Visiting the nearby "hot spots" or the bride-to-be's treasured tavern are always options for a fantastic celebration. Renting a fancy car for the occasion genuinely adds to the "night out" motif and anybody involved can have an excellent time and not bother about driving when they have been drinking alcohol. Going to a 'male revue" such as the Manpower dancers has become a popular strategy for any bachlorette gathering.
No matter what you choose for throwing a bachelorette party, remember the nature of the bride-to-be, and just how it will affect her in the days leading up to the wedding.
Best of luck with the options, loosen up and most significantly, get pleasure from it!
